Workshop on March 15, 2014
Workshop conducted by Facilitator- Mrs. Hyacinth P. Arya - Trainer & Facilitator- Corporate Finesse, on March 15, 2014.
The Training Module was titled "A storm in the tea cup". It was held at Pleasant Days, Chennai.

The areas that will be covered were:
1. Is there a storm - and if so - Where, When and Why. Who are concerned and What are the tangible measures that can be applied?
2. KRA's - is this really understood?- or is this the real creator of the storm in our tea cup?
3. Tools for Innovation and Creativity to avoid a storm in the tea cup.
4. "Delegation"- the misunderstood and underestimated term.
5. Measures to avoid wearing a cap that does not suit.
6. The bonding and benefits of teaming and steaming up.
7. Working towards a healthy work lifestyle through self management.
8. Humor at work - the missing ingredient.
The Workshop was followed by a talk on "Breast Cancer awareness initiative" by "Pinkathon" brand ambassador Mr Milind Soman, the handsome model and actor. See the pictures taken at the event.

CHRISTMAS PARTY - IASAP MEMBERS & THEIR FAMILIES, December 2013
The venue for the Christmas Party was the plush Llyods Hall in the newly renovated wing of ITC Sheraton Park Hotel & Towers– The three-hour long celebration; full of fun and games started at 3 PM. Members and their families arrived for the Christmas party in their fine clothes. The hall was beautifully decorated in the Christmas colours including the flowers. Loads of gifts colourfully wrapped were neatly arranged and the Christmas tree was prettily dolled up and lit up with bright lights. The young and old were seen eyeing the gifts trying to guess what was inside. The ambience added to the glamour of the picture perfect set up for the Christmas party.

Ms. Nandini Raman, Counseling Psychologist was the speaker of the day on the evening of November 30, 2013.
She addressed IASAP members on how to cope up with Life and Manage Stress.

Secretary & Administrative Professional of the Year Contest, 2013
The Secretary & Administrative Professional of the Year contest was held successfully at the
magnificent ITC Grand Chola on August 31, 2013. The grandeur and the colossal structure of
the Hotel left the invitees in awe. The members of the Jury were impressed with the
performance of the finalists and the committee was thrilled when one of the judges
commented that it was a flawlessly organised event. After judging our contestants at the
Group Discussion and Personal Interview, they even said they were just as nervous as the
contestants seeing how well they presented themselves. The morning and the evening
sessions went as per schedule. Our smart emcee Saadiya took us through the events
perfectly in sync with the time.
Monika Bansal, Project Manager, Capgemini was crowned ‘Secretary & Administrative
Professional of the Year’ while R B Sudha, Manager – Administration, Tannex Power
Generation Ltd. is the first Runner up and Sunita Muralikrishnan, Manager, TCS is the
second Runner up.

Secretary & Administrative Professional Day, April 2013
To remember the roots of our profession and to celebrate the growing and diverse contributions to corporate successes. Administrative Professional Day is most widely celebrated in April every year. The members of the TamilNadu Chapter gathered at EVOLVE 2, the Ballroom of The Westin Chennai Velachery on
Saturday, 27th April to celebrate Administrative Professionals Day.

Week-end get away to Nellikuppam and Pondicherry - Ashoka Resort, February 2013
It was a weekend get-away for some fun and relaxation. A educational tour to the first sugar factory of the country – EID Parry (East India Distillery) in Nellikuppam. Before hitting hotel Ashoka, Pondicherry we visited Aurobindo Ashram. A great campfire and barbeque evening and fun at the beach the next morning was memorable. .

SAPC 2011
The Secretary and Administrative Professional of the Year Contest was held on August 28, 2011 at the Residency Towers. After gruelling training sessions, the finalists took their places to compete for the crown. Surekha Johnson was crowned the winner, Mary Margaret, the first Runner-up and Diana Brisson, the second runner-up.
