TRIBUTE TO MOLLY MANI
On Thursday 10th September evening a Memorial was organised by IASAP West Bengal for Molly Mani, founder member of the Chapter, marked by lovely hymns and prayers. Touching homage was paid by her friends, colleagues and family.
Molly was very dedicated, focused and single-minded in anything she undertook. After joining ITC and wanting to move forward in her career, Molly went back to school, despite long hours at work, she graduated at the age of 36 and went on to complete her MBA at 42, before moving on to a change in career. She was so successful, that while she retired from ITC after 34 long years, two years ago, she was given an extension, which she did not opt for as she wanted to venture out on her own, following her heart’s desire. She started, Molly Mani & Associates, and did exceptionally well, travelling all over India and abroad. Molly in a true sense achieved a lot in her short 62 years.
Throughout her life, she worked quietly for hours, days and even years, often non-stop, pouring her heart into what she felt she needed to give to her family, friends and colleagues. Even during her tenure at the helm of the Institute, as Secretary, Chairperson and Ex-officio, she was always available, whatever her work pressure, never losing her cool, always with a word of advice and guidance.
