ASA CONGRESS – PAPUA NEW GUINEA
I would like to share the dates and some details received from the ASA Team as follows : Let's lead a big Indian delegation to PNG. – VIMALA D'SOUZA (PRESIDENT - ALL INDIA) Mumbai HQs are working on some pre/post convention tours – details of which will be shared as soon as the same are finalized.
The 24th Congress of Secretaries and Administrative Professionals will be hosted by the Papua New Guinea Association of Administrative Professionals (PNGAAP). Mea Lou Isaac, PNGAAP President and concurrent ASA President, announced that the congress will be held from September 24 to 28, 2018. Below are initial details for your information and guidance: Theme - is in process, taking into consideration sub-topics relevant to the theme, presenters and their availability. Congress Registration Fee - Usd 650.00 per person based on twin sharing room. Duration of Congress - 4 Nights / 5 Days Venue - Negotiations are ongoing with Stanley Hotel, Gateway Hotel and Crowne Plaza Port Moresby. Program/Brochure - This will be forwarded to everyone as soon as details are finalized. Other relevant information relating to visas, transportation, accommodation,weather, clothing, etc. will be forwarded to all accordingly. ASA President Mea Lou Isaac and her Team are confident in hosting the 24th ASA Congress. Mea will provide more details about the congress in the next days to come. ASA PROJECT AWARD In 2012 (21st ASA Congress in Bangladesh), the ASA Project Award was conceived and proposed by WSAT to strengthen team relations, involvement of more association members, and encourage the sharing/exchange of new and effective ideas. The activity provides the stimulus for every member association to compete amongst themselves in a friendly and lively atmosphere of ASA. The first recipient of the ASA Project Award was WSAT in 2014 during the 22nd ASA Congress held in Pakistan. The second recipient was MAPSA in 2016 during the 23rd ASA Congress held in Manila. Who will be the next recipient of the ASA Project Award? We encourage ASA member-associations to send their entries and be counted in this most worthwhile business activity of ASA. The award will take place during the 24th ASA Congress in PNG. More information and guidelines about the ASA Project ASA Award will be emailed separately. We will certainly keep you updated.
